Westcoast Select 100% wild salmon oil is guaranteed to contain more than 90% wild sockeye salmon oil, with the remainder being other wild salmon oils. Sockeye salmon feed mostly on vegetarian food sources plus krill and plankton which produces the beenficial carotenoid, astoxanthin, as is indicated by the rich orange colour of the oil. Wild salmon oil has a naturally occurring 1 to 1 ratio of EPA to DHA. Sockeye salmon oil contains the highest source of alpha carotenoids available from any food source.
